1. Introduction

Silicon Comnet Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website www.siliconcomnet.com and other digital platforms we operate (“Platforms”). This Cookie Policy explains which cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent. It is issued in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“the Act”) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (“the Rules”), and must be read with our Privacy Policy at siliconcomnet.com/privacy-policy.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They may be temporary (session cookies, deleted when your browser closes) or persistent (stored for a set period). We also use similar technologies such as web beacons and session recording scripts. All references to “cookies” in this Policy include these technologies.

Certain cookies collect data that constitutes personal data under Section 2(t) of the Act — for example, IP addresses and device identifiers. Where this is the case, the Act applies, and we must have a valid, lawful basis before collecting it.

All cookies currently active on our Platforms are listed below. We carry out regular scans to keep this list accurate and update this Policy whenever cookies change.

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

No consent required. These cookies are essential for the website to function. They are set in response to actions you take (navigating pages, submitting forms) and cannot be switched off. They store no personally identifiable information.

3.2 Analytics Cookies

Consent required — OFF by default. These cookies are placed only after you provide explicit consent by clicking “Accept” or enabling the Analytics category in our Cookie Preferences. Merely continuing to browse our website does not constitute consent under Section 6(1) of the Act, which requires a clear affirmative action.

A. Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC)

Google Analytics 4 collects pseudonymous data about visitor behaviour. We enable IP anonymisation. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

5. Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Data [Rule 15]

Analytics cookies transfer personal data outside India to Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation, whose servers are located in the United States and other countries. Such transfers are subject to any requirements specified by the Central Government under Rule 15 of the Rules.

We have accepted the standard data processing terms of both providers, which include obligations on security, breach notification, and data use restrictions. We monitor and will comply with any transfer restrictions notified by the Central Government under Section 16 of the Act.

6. Managing Your Consent and Withdrawal [Section 6(4)]

You may withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time with ease comparable to how you gave it (Section 6(4) of the Act). Options available to you:

Cookie Preferences: Click “Cookie Preferences” in our website footer at any time to update your settings per category.

Reject All: Click “Reject All” on any visit to suppress all analytics cookies immediately.

Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-On: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout — prevents data from being sent to Google Analytics across all websites.

Browser Settings: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking Strictly Necessary cookies will impair core website functionality.

Withdrawal stops future placement of analytics cookies. It does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal (Section 6(5) of the Act). Cookies already on your device will remain until their natural expiry or until you delete them via your browser. Processing logs are subject to the minimum 1-year retention requirement under Rule 8(3) of the Rules.

7. Retention [Section 8(7); Rule 8(3)]

Cookies are retained on your device for the durations set out in Section 3 and the Master Cookie Reference Table in Section 4. On our server side, we retain personal data collected through cookies, associated traffic data, and processing logs for a minimum of 1 (one) year from the date of processing, as required under Rule 8(3) of the Rules. Beyond that minimum, we erase such data when the purpose is no longer served or upon consent withdrawal, whichever is earlier, unless retention is required by applicable law (Section 8(7) of the Act).

8. Grievance Redressal [Section 13; Rule 14(3)]

For any complaint or concern about our use of cookies, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge your grievance within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt, as required under Rule 14(3) of the Rules. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (Section 13(3) of the Act).

9. Updates

We periodically scan our Platforms to keep this Policy accurate. Where we add or change cookies in a way that affects consent-based categories, we will update this Policy and obtain fresh consent before the change takes effect. The updated Policy will be published at siliconcomnet.com/cookie-policy with the revised Effective Date.
